How to Update IDS

Auto Update

To use IDS Core’s auto update mechanism, please do the following:

Login to IDS Core (for help logging in please see this article: How to Login into IDS Core.)
If there is an update available, after a few minutes, you will see “Update Available” in the top right hand side of IDS Core.
Click on “Update Available” as is found in the top right hand side of the IDS Core (as in image above).
A install pop up will appear, click the “Install” button.
This will open up the IDS Installer. Click on the “Next” to start the installer.
On the next screen, click “Next” again.
The installer will now install the IDS Core Update.
When the installer has completed it will shut down.
Find the IDS Core Icon and double click to launch,
Login back into IDS Core. You have successfully updated IDS Core.

On the computer to which you wish to update IDS Core.

Go to: https://www.idsapp.com/core/
Then click on the link that says, “Click to download IDS Core PC client”

Once the file has been downloaded onto your computer, double click on the file to launch the installer program.
If you see this screen.
Then click on “More Info”
Then click on “Run anyway”
The IDS Core Install Program will now launch
On the first screen, click the “Next” button.
1. On the next screen, you can use the “browse” button to change the install location. This is an advanced feature that should only be used if you know how.
Click on the next button.
Then click on the “Install” button.
When the software has been installed, click on the “Finish” button.
You will now see an IDS Core icon on your computer’s desktop.
