Control the IDS Core Applications Container

Version
In the top left hand side of the screen you will see the IDS Core Version number
(Your version number will be different than in the image above)
Menu
In the top left hand side of the screen you will see the Menu
Depending on your user role, the menu may contain different options.
User login
The username that was used to login can be located in the top right hand side of the screen
Language and Regional Setting
Your regional settings are shown in the top right hand side of the screen
Please note: Regional Settings as based on your Window's Regional Settings.
Help Online Manual
To access this Online Manual from within IDS Core, click on the Help icon
Minimum Maximum Parent Container
To switch from minimum to maximum screen size, vice versa or to close IDS Core, click on the icons located in the top right hand side of the screen.
You can also switch from minimum to maximum screen size, vice versa by double clicking in the middle of the very top of the application container.
Signing Out
To sign out, click on “Sign Out” on the top right hand side of the screen.
How to Resize the Container
Minimize IDS Core by clicking in the top right hand side of the screen (see above article).
Then click and drag the bottom right hand side the container.
Zoom
To Zoom in or out, click and drag the slider located on the bottom right hand side of the screen.
Undocking a Tab
To undock a tab:
Place your mouse over the label of the tab you wish to undock.
Then press and hold down your left mouse button.
Then drag your mouse down towards the bottom of the screen.
This will undock the tab from IDS Core. You will know its been done correctly as the top of the tab will look like this:
You can now drag the tab anywhere on your screen and/or move it to another monitor.
You can minimize, maximize or close the tap by clicking the icons on the top right hand side of the tab
Docking a Tab
Once a tab has been undocked (see above article)
Click the top left hand side of the tab
Then hold down your left mouse button.
While dragging the tab back into the IDS Container, below the file menu.
Top Level Hot Keys
Across the top of IDS Core you will the main menu.
You will also see one letter for each Tab has been underlined.
Please Note: Your Top Level Menu will be different as it depends on the “role” assigned to your username.
To open one of the tabs, simply press the “Alt” key and one of the underlined letters.
For example, to open a Search Tab, simply click “Alt” and “e” at the same time.
If you need to open up a secondary tab, such as Dispatch > Drivers, simply click “Alt” and the Letter (for example “d”) and then use your up or down arrow keys to select the sub tab, then press “enter”.
