How to Download Log file

At times IDS Support may ask you to send them your IDS Core Client log. This article explains how to download the log. 

There are two ways to download the log:

Same day Log

To download the log file for same day log, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to 'File' from the top of the screen
  2. Move your cursor over 'Logs' and choose 'View Current Log'
  3. The log will open in notepad.
  4. To save the file on your computer. Go to 'File' in notepad and click 'Save'.
  5. Then you can choose the location where you want to save the file.
  6. And click 'Save'.

To View all Log files

To view all of the log files from your system, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to 'File' from the top of the screen.
  2. Move your cursor on 'Logs' and select 'Explore Log Directory'.
  3. It will open the directory where all the logs are being saved for IDS 2 PC Client.
  4. Then you can double click on the file which you want to open.
