How to Print IDS's PDF 4 by 6 Shipping Label using a Zebra Printer

This article is for users who print IDS's 4 by 6 Sticky Shipping (ProBill, Waybill) label using a Zebra Printer (LP2844). 

All other users printing other labels can ignore this article.

IDS supports the following browsers:

As of December 1, 2016, IDS does not support the use of Microsoft's new browser, Edge, as it is too new and lacks in functionality.

Cant See the Shipping Label, Waybill.

For All Browsers:

  1. Please ensure you have Zebra's latest Printer Utility and Driver. https://www.zebra.com/us/en/support-downloads.html
  2. IDS is not responsible for technical support of the Zebra Printer, Printer Utility or Drivers. For assistance, you will need to contact Zebra directly: https://www.zebra.com/us/en/support-downloads.html
  3. When setting up your Zebra Printers Properties/Preference, please ensure you have the following settings:


In your browser (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox) displaying the Shipping label, follow the instructions below, based on the browser you are using.


Internet Explorer

The following is based on Internet Explorer's default settings.
If you have installed a PDF viewer, PDF maker or PDF extension and the screen looks different and you need assistance, you will need to contact the developer of that software for support.

  1. Click on the Printer Icon that appears over the label.
     
  2. Select your Zebra Printer that contains the 4 by 6 label and print.
  3. If your label does not fit properly on the printed label or an extra blank label is generated then:
    1. click on the Printer Icon again (as per point 1 above).
    2. Then make sure you have the following settings:
    3.  Make the changes as needed. Then, click on the "Properties" button.
       
    4. Then make sure you have the following Printer Preferences set:
       
    5. If you do make any changes, remember to press the "Apply" button to save your work.


Chrome

The following is based on Chrome's default settings.
If you have installed a PDF viewer, PDF maker or PDF extension and the screen looks different and you need assistance, you will need to contact the developer of that software for support.

  1. Place your mouse over the shipping label.
  2. Press your mouse's right button.
  3. Then a right click menu will appear.
     
  4. Select your Zebra Printer that contains the 4 by 6 label and press print.
  5. If your label does not fit properly on the printed label or an extra blank label is generated then:
    1. select print again (as per point 3 above).
  6. Then click ""Print using system dialog..."
     
  7. Making sure the Zebra Printer has been selected, click the "Preferences" button.
     
  8. Then make sure you have the following Printer Preferences set:
  9. If you do make any changes, remember to press the "Apply" button to save your work.


Firefox

The following is based on FireFox's default settings.
If you have installed a PDF viewer, PDF maker or PDF extension and the screen looks different and you need assistance, you will need to contact the developer of that software for support.

  1. Click the arrows located on the top right hand side of the screen.
  2. Then press print.
     
  3. Select your Zebra Printer that contains the 4 by 6 label then press print.
  4. If your label does not fit properly on the printed label or an extra blank label is generated then:
    1. select print again (as per point 2 above).
  5. Then select the "properties" button.
     
  6. Then make sure you have the following Printer Preferences set:
     
  7. If you do make any changes, remember to press the "Apply" button to save your work.
