Most of these features rely heavily on barcoding. While the IDS 2 App does allow you to use the phone's onboard camera to scan a barcode, IDS highly recommends the use of a phone with an onboard laser scanner for those that scan a high volume of shipments. Currently, (February 2017) IDS recommends the Zebra/Motorola/Intermec TC-55. For more details on the TC-55, please click here. |
IDS App 2 - Driver Verification. This is used by drivers loading shipments at a Cross Dock or at a Warehouse. It ensures all shipments/packages/totes assigned to that driver have been loaded into their vehicle.
