How to Remove a User from the GPS Map Menu.
This article will explain how you can remove a user from the IDS GPS Map Menu.
If this user is no longer with your company, then you need to read this article (How to Disable a User when they leave your company) as it will also remove the user from the map.
Step-by-step guide
- In IDS, logged in as an "Admin."
- Go to the "Staff Members"'s Screen.
- Find the Staff Member's record who you do not wish to appear in the IDS GPS Map Menu.
- Then view this staff members "User Roles", located on the right hand side of this screen.
- Any of the following Users Roles will make this staff member appear on the IDS GPS Map Menu:
- driver
- dispatcher
- admin
- billing
- If your staff member does not need any of the above roles to complete their work, then remove as need.
- When done, press "Update User."
- Close your IDS GPS Map.
- Restart your IDS GPS Map.
- If the user has not been assigned any of the user roles from point 5 above, then they will no longer appear in the IDS GPS Map Menu.
Chrome has a hard time with caching websites and displaying an update to a website. If you dont see your changes, change your default browser to Firefox, then open your map.
If the change does appear in Firefox, then Chrome is experiencing a caching issue. Try clearing your cache in Chrome.
