How to create/edit a Rate using Rate by Lane pricing

To Editedit/Create create a Lane Pricerate, please do the following:

  1. Click the Radial Dial labelled “Rate by Land Pricing”lane pricing”

  2. At the bottom on the screen you will see the following

  3. Click on Edit

  4. This will open the Lane Formula “Edit Formula” Pop Up

  5. Now we need to make create our first condition.

  6. To do this, in the first dropdown, select if the condition will be based on Piecespieces, Weight weight or Mileagemileage

  7. Then select if the condition will be greater than, less then, etc

  8. Then enter in the conditions numbercondition's amount. Meaning if “pieces is less than 5”, then enter in 5

  9. (Advanced - Optional) If you need to add on more to the condition, then click on the dropdown immediately to the right.?

  10. And select And/Or. Then create another condition.

  11. Steps 9 and 10 above are Advanced - Optional steps. You dont need to do this unless you have an advanced rate.

  12. In the “Results” field enter in the dollar amount for this conditionrate. Using our example from above of “if pieces is less than 5 then the price is $5”, then you would enter in 5 into this field.

  13. If the rate is not a “Fixed price”, but something more advanced, then click on the radial dial beside “Formula”

  14. This will change the field so that you can create a formula

  15. The first field would be where you would enter in a base price

  16. In the next field, select what field will be used to calculate the rate

  17. If you select one of the fields with a + or - beside it, then another field will open up directly to the right of this dropdown. In this field enter in the amount you wish to add or subject from the selected field. For example if you your rate is “Piece - 1”, then you would enter in “1” into this field.

  18. Then select your mathematical symbol in the next dropdown. For example if your rate is “Pieces time 5”, then you would select “*”

  19. Then in In the next field enter in the number amount that will be used to calculate your rate. Using our example of if your rate is “Pieces times 5”, then you would enter in 5.

  20. (Advanced - Optional). If you need a more advanced rate, then click on the dropdown below your newly created formula.

  21. Then select if you going to add + or subject - from your rate

  22. Another clone cpy of the formula generator will appear. Repeat stems 16 to 19 above.

  23. Click the “Save” button when done.

  24. If you need to add more to your rate, then click on the +

  25. This will allow you to repeat the above steps to add more to your rate.

Add, Remove, Copy and Clear a Lane

The add, remove, copy and/or clear a lane, locate this section directly below your rate matrix:

To add a lane, do the following:

  1. Click on the Plus Symbol

  2. This will create a new lane

  1. Select the lane you wish to remove from the dropdown

  2. Then click “Remove Lane”

  3. The select selected lane would be removed.

To copy create a new lane by coping an existing lane to create a new one, do the following:

  1. Select the lane you wish to copy from the dropdown

  2. Then click “Copy Lane”

  3. A new lane will be created.

The first way is to test your lane rate as you create it. to To do this:

  1. in In the “Edit Lane” Formula” pop up you used to create the lane rate.

  2. You will see the testing section located across the bottom of the pop up.

  3. Enter in a number into either the Pieces, Weight or Mileage Field

  4. Then click the “Test” button

  5. The “Results” of your test will appear


The other Another way to test your lane rates is to test across all your zones. To do this:

  1. Click on the “Test” Tab

  2. Across the bottom of this page is the “Test these lanes” Section.

  3. Fill in the Pieces, Weight and Mileage fields as needed.

  4. Then click the “test” button.

  5. The system will then test all your lanes and by zones. Depending all how many zones or lanes you have this could take a few minutes.
