Click the Radial Dial labelled “Rate by Land Pricing”
At the bottom on the screen you will see the following
Click on Edit
This will open the Lane Formula Pop Up
Now we need to make our first condition.
To do this, in the first dropdown, select if the condition will be based on Pieces, Weight or Mileage
Then select if the condition will be greater than, less then, etc
Then enter in the conditions number. Meaning if “pieces is less than 5”, then enter in 5
(Advanced - Optional) If you need more to the condition, then click on the dropdown immediately to the right.?
And select And/Or. Then create another condition.
Steps 9 and 10 above are Advanced - Optional steps. You dont need to do this unless you have an advanced rate.
In the “Results” enter in the dollar amount for this condition. Using our example from above of “if pieces is less than 5 then the price is $5”, then you would enter in 5 into this field.
If the rate is not a “Fixed price”, but something more advanced, then click on the radial dial beside “Formula”
This will change the field so that you can create a formula
The first field would be where you would enter in a base price
In the next field, select what field will be used to calculate the rate
If you select one of the fields with a + or - beside it another field will open up directly to the right of this dropdown. In this field the amount you wish to add or subject from the selected field. For example if you rate is “Piece - 1”, you would enter in “1” into this field.
Then select your mathematical symbol in the next dropdown. For example if your rate is “Pieces time 5”, then you would select “*”
Then in the next field enter in the number that will be used to calculate your rate. Using our example of if your rate is “Pieces times 5”, then you would enter in 5.
(Advanced - Optional). If you need a more advanced rate, then click on the dropdown below your newly created formula.
Then select if you going to add + or subject - from your rate
Another clone of the formula generator will appear. Repeat stems 16 to 19 above.
