How to Edit/Delete Shipments in the IDS 2 Shipping Portal

The following article describes how to Edit a Shipment in the IDS 2 Shipping Portal.

Not all shipments can be edited. For example shipments that have been (dispatched for most clients) picked up, delivered or invoiced cant be edited. The purpose of this screen is to allow you to edit shipments that you just entered into IDS without having to phone your Delivery Provider. 

To Find a Shipment for Editing. 

Step-by-step guide

  1. Click on the "Edit Active Trips" tab
  2. You will now see this screen:
  3. To ensure you are seeing the latest Shipments, please click on the "Refresh Trip List" button located on the bottom of the screen:
  4. You should always click the  "Refresh Trip List" button if you have left the Shipping Portal open for a long period of time.
  5. Across the bottom of the screen, you will see shipments are eligible for editing.

    Not all shipments can be edited. For example shipments that have been (dispatched for most clients) picked up, delivered or invoiced can't be edited. The purpose of this screen is to allow you to edit shipments that you just entered into IDS without having to phone your Delivery Provider. 

  6. You can see all shipments and their columns by:
    1. Using the scrollbars 
    2. Or by maximizing the screen.
  7. You can filter the list of editable shipments by typing into the "Filter" field.


To Edit a Shipment. 

Step-by-step guide

  1. When you see the shipment you want to edit, you can:
    1. Double Click the shipment.
    2. Or right click the shipment and select "edit trip":
  2. You will now see your shipment has populated at the top of the screen:
  3. Simply change the shipment as needed, then click the "Ship Now" button:
  4. Since your shipment has changed, your waybill details have also changed, so on the next screen, you will see your updated waybill:
  5. Click the "Print" button:
  6. When you have successfully printed your updated waybill, click the "Close" button:

To Delete a Shipment. 


Not all shipments can be deleted. For example shipments that have been (dispatched for most clients) picked up, delivered or invoiced cant be deleted. The purpose of this screen is to allow you to delete shipments that you just entered into IDS without having to phone your Delivery Provider. 

When you Delete a shipment, it is not being removed/purged from the IDS Database, it is just a special status called, "Deleted". If a shipment is set to Deleted by mistake or needs to be un-deleted for any reason, please contact your delivery provider directly. They will be able to un-delete the shipment.

Step-by-step guide

  1. When you see the shipment you wish to delete, you can:
    1. Double Click the shipment.
    2. Or right click the shipment and select edit
  2. You will now see your shipment has populated at the top of the screen:
  3. Then click the "Delete' Button.
  4. Then click "Yes"
  5. The shipment is now deleted.
