How to Assign Shipments to Route/Driver
adfBefore you optimize your shipments you need to assign them to a driver/route. To do this, please do the following:
Import your shipments into IDS Route. For more information, please see: How to Import Shipments into IDS Route
Your shipments will now appear on the bottom of the screen
Highlight all your shipments.
Then right click your mouse
and select “Allocate Driver”
A dropdown will appear in the “Drivers” column
select a driver/route from the dropdown
Once you have selected your driver/route, all the shipments will be updated with your selection.
How to Route Optimize Shipments

Once you have assigned your shipments, you can now Optimize them. To do this, please do the following.
Select how you wish to optimize your shipments by ticking the boxes located across the bottom of the map
Then select your shipments from the bottom of the screen
Then click the “Route” button located on the top of the screen
Once your shipments have been optimized a pop up will appear.
How to Add/Hide Columns

Click on the “View Settings” button in the Toolbar
This will open up the “View Settings” tab
To add a column to the shipment list tick the box beside it’s label
To remove a column to the shipment list untick the box beside its label
You can also untick all the columns by clicking the “select none” button
Likewise, you can tick all the columns by clicking the “Select All” button
When you are done, click the “Save Columns” button
This will bring you back to the main window of the Route tab.
If you need to make further changes, click on the “Settings” tab header
This will bring you back to the “Settings” Screen.
When you are done, on the “Settings” Screen, click on the close button.
How to Use the Map Window
adsfaTo change and use the map, you can use the buttons located in the top right hand side of the map.

To change the view, click on the top dropdown menu

This will will open the following dropdown
Road View is the default view.
If you click on “Aerial” you will see an aerial or satellite view
If you click on “Bird’s Eye”, you will see a 3D Image based view
If you click on “Streetside”, you can drop a “person” onto a blue line on a street to see the street view
To close “Birds Eye” or “Streetside” views, click on the X located in the top right of the map
In “Aerial” and “Bird’s Eye” views you can turn off labels by sliding the “Label” slider to the left
In “Aerial” and “Bird’s Eye” views you can turn back on labels by sliding the “Label” slider to the right
To center the map to your “general” location, click the “Locate Me” button

There are two ways to zoom in:
Clicking the Zoom In button.
If your mouse has a wheel, scroll the wheel away from you.
There are two ways to zoom out:
Clicking the Zoom Out button
If your mouse has a wheel, scroll the wheel towards you.
To move around the map:
Left click your mouse and hold
While continuing to hold down the left button on your mouse, move your mouse.
